Lifers Earth tracks the wildlife you find and rewards you with physical pins as you reach milestones across the Tree of Life. When you earn your 5th pin, you’ll receive a wall‑mountable display case — a place to show your hard‑earned achievements.

Post updates, make friends, and share Glimpses (videos). Build community with people who love birds, worms, ants, fish, beetles, reptiles — all of it. Whether you’re here to learn, explore, or contribute, you’re among nature lovers.
Pages for Every Taxon — From Life to Subspecies
The heart of Lifers Earth is our taxa database. Every taxon has a page — from Life all the way to Subspecies — with sightings, maps, gear, Nature Exchange items, live cams, learning content, and space for two documentaries per species (short and in‑depth).
1) The Nature Exchange
Sell nature‑related items or tools that help members search: paintings and artwork, camera gear, books, hiking boots, tents, and more. Attach your listings to species or broader taxa.
2) Create Content
Earn from Glimpses (8 minutes or shorter), Extended Glimpses (over 8 minutes), and documentaries (short or long). Documentaries require approval by Lifers Earth — once approved, you can start earning from views and likes. No separate “monetization” gate to start.
3) Become a Verifier
Verifiers are experts who confirm identifications for Species/Subspecies. Get assigned by admins or pass quizzes for the taxa you want to verify. Help the community learn and keep the database accurate.
Why $25/month?
- No dependence on advertisers. We won’t be held captive by ad algorithms. We may allow some ads, but we don’t need them to operate the platform.
- Data‑heavy platform. Glimpses, detailed species pages, sightings, range maps, and more — your membership covers real operating costs.
- Creator & Verifier funds and Exchange operations. A portion of your membership fuels the Creator Fund, Verifier Fund, and the costs of running the Nature Exchange — encouraging talented members to keep creating and sharing knowledge.
- Physical Pins at scale. Thousands of pins across the Tree of Life — design, manufacturing, and shipping are included. Some pins will be lifelong pursuits.
- Wilderness preservation & Lifers Lodges. Remaining funds go towards buying land to preserve as wilderness. A tiny portion will feature Tiny Lifers Lodges so members can see target species with minimal extra cost.
- Future aspirations. Physical club locations with libraries and events; a taxonomy research lab; a research vessel (bringing members along); and global live cams. With enough members, these become real.
